The battery of the Kymco Xciting S 400i scooter is located under the seat. To replace it, we need to open the seat using the ignition key and unscrew the screws on the battery compartment cover. Using a 10mm socket wrench, we unscrew the nuts on top of the battery and disconnect the negative connector, then disconnect the positive connector. We remove the cover and take out the battery. We insert the new battery into the cover and connect the terminals. We screw in the nut and the screws of the cover. We close the seat to test the battery's functionality.
