In this guide, we will provide the instructions to change the transmission oil of the Kymco Like 125 scooter. First, place the scooter on the centre stand and start unscrewing the oil drain screw located at the bottom left; allow the oil to drain into a container for about ten minutes, as shown in the video.

At this point, clean the drain plug of any metallic residues, then top up with the new transmission oil (of the correct type); pour the amount specified in the user and maintenance manual.

How to Replace the Clutch on a Kymco Downtown 125?

To replace the clutch on the Kymco Downtown 125, loosen the screws that secure the cover located on the left side of the bike, near the rear wheel. Once the screws are loosened, remove the cover to access the components underneath: the clutch at the rear can be removed by unscrewing the fixing screws and sliding out all the discs that make it up. At this point, insert the new replacement part, reposition the drive belt, and cover everything with the cover.
