The battery of the Kymco is located under the seat, so lift it and remove the battery protection panel by unscrewing the screws on the floor. The battery may be secured with a bolt or strap: disconnect the negative terminal first and then the positive. This reduces the risk of creating a short circuit if the key accidentally touches the frame. Install the new battery in reverse order, connecting the positive terminal first and then the negative, for the same reason. Secure it with the bolt or strap, reattach the protection cover, and screw the screws back in.
