The tutorial begins with the variator cover already removed. For this step, refer to other tutorials. Using a 17mm socket, unscrew the central bolt (if you do not have an air impact wrench, use a spanner to hold the variator). Remove the nut and the washer behind it, then clean the exposed parts. Move the belt for better access, then remove the outer half-pulley where the centrifugal rollers are located. Extract them and replace them with new ones. Generally, these small mechanical parts should be replaced every 5,000 miles, but if they show no signs of wear, you can keep them a little longer.
