The battery of the Kymco 300i is hidden behind the front shield. To remove the shield, simply release the plastic clips from the back that hold the front part in place, which will come off easily. Now the battery is visible. First, disconnect the negative terminal (the black one), then the positive terminal (the red one). Next, remove the battery from its holder and replace it with a new one. A battery for this type of scooter can be easily found on all e-commerce platforms and costs between £26.90 for a Bosch and £58.33 for a maintenance-free Yuasa. At this point, simply refit the front shield and the job is complete.
