To replace the rear brake pads on a Kymco Xciting S 400i, loosen the bolt that secures the brake caliper to the corresponding disc so that it can be removed from its housing. After the caliper is detached from the disc, you can slide out the pads inside it, also removing the relevant locking pin. Once the old pads are removed, insert the new ones into the caliper, securing them with the pin, and reinstall the caliper onto the appropriate disc.
