How to Reset the Service Light on a Land Rover Freelander 2

To reset the service light on the Land Rover Freelander 2, start by pressing and holding the button under the odometer. At the same time, turn on the ignition without starting the engine. Keep holding the button until the "service" message stops flashing. Now, press the same button until the "dist" message appears, followed by "end", then "dist" again, and finally "date". Hold the same button until the "reset" message appears, then it will automatically show "end". Press it once more to display "end" and hold it to show the new mileage. At this point, you can turn off the ignition and turn it back on to check that the reset was successful.
