Before you begin, open the front bonnet of your Land Rover Freelander. Start by unclipping and removing the auxiliary belt cover. This will also expose the tensioner. Next, loosen the tensioner to free the auxiliary belt. At this point, you can extract and remove the auxiliary belt. Once you have completed this step, you will have successfully removed the auxiliary belt from your Land Rover Freelander, and you will be ready to install the new belt.
