Let's see how to update the side emblem of our Maserati Granturismo from the old trident logo with a lightning bolt to the new logo: just a larger and more modern trident. The piece must be purchased from a Maserati dealership to ensure that we are buying an original item suitable for our vehicle. We apply a piece of tape under the existing emblem, perfectly aligning it and marking the center point with a pen: this will help us realign the new emblem. We insert dental floss behind the emblem and, with a sawing motion, cut through the double-sided tape. Once the old emblem is removed, we need to heat the old adhesive with a hairdryer to detach it without damaging the paint, then we use a plastic tool to remove the adhesive residue. Removing the glue is tedious, but we mustn't rush: scratching the paint would cost us much more than the emblem! We clean thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol. We let it dry and study the position for placing the new emblem, aided by the tape we positioned earlier. We peel off the double-sided tape and press firmly.
