To replace the brake shoes on a Mazda Bongo, lift the vehicle so that the wheel corresponding to the shoes being replaced is off the ground. Then, loosen the bolts securing the wheel, completely remove it, and access the components at the rear. This will allow you to loosen the bolts securing the drum, remove it, and access the shoes underneath. Disconnect the old shoes from the braking mechanism, install the new ones, and then reassemble all removed components.
