How to replace the battery of a Mercedes GLB

Let's see how to change the battery of a Mercedes GLB, and remember that a diagnostic tool is also necessary to register the new battery. First, we open the hood, remove the battery compartment cover, disconnect the fan hose and the electronic module located above the positive terminal; then we remove the side mounting bracket. Next, we disconnect the battery terminals starting with the negative terminal. We remove the upper mounting bar and take out the old battery. We clean the housing and install the new battery with the same specifications. We reassemble everything in reverse order: we secure the upper bar, connect the terminals; first the positive terminal and then the negative one, we put the side bracket and the electronic module back in place, reconnect the ventilation, and then replace the cover. Now we need to perform the registration. This is a crucial step; otherwise, the car won't know that we have changed the battery. We connect the scanner to the EOBD port and follow the scanner's instructions: service/BMS/Mercedes/automatic selection/hot functions/battery replacement. We confirm, and it's done.
