How to Open the Boot of a Mercedes GLB with a Flat Key Fob

If the battery in your Mercedes GLB key fob is flat and you cannot open the boot using the button, you can do it mechanically. The physical key (which can be extracted from the remote) fits into a hidden emergency lock. On the GLB, the unlocking slot is located under the rear bumper or integrated into the boot handle. Look for a small plastic cover near the number plate or close to the handle. Gently remove it and insert the emergency key. Turn it clockwise to unlock the mechanism. The boot will open. Once opened, you can replace the battery in the remote or use the electric opening system.
