Mercedes Classe C - Video tutorial

Model: Mercedes Classe C W203 - Years 2000-2007
Part: Handle
Operation: How to replace the door handle on Mercedes C-Class W203

To replace the door handle on Mercedes C-Class you will first have to remove a small part of the gasket that isolates the passenger compartment from atmospheric agents located along the entire internal perimeter of the door, the affected part will be the one at the height of the handle that will hide a small hole inside which the lock fixing pin will be present. Now the pin placed inside the hole must be loosened, being careful not to remove it completely and after a few turns the lock can be removed from its seat. Once the lock has been extracted, only the handle attached to the door will remain, this will be fixed by interlocking and to remove it, simply pull it horizontally towards the lock seat. Once this is done, the handle should come off easily and you can then continue fitting a new one, but before proceeding you must make sure that there are no broken parts of the old handle inside the door holes. To install the new one, it will be sufficient to insert the hooks inside the holes in the door and push horizontally towards the side opposite the lock, making sure that the gaskets match perfectly with the base of the handle, then simply reinsert the lock in its seat and secure it by tightening the pin loosened earlier.

Handbrake adjustment on Ford Ecosport

First remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes. Also in this case it is not necessary to remove it completely but, paying attention to the connected cables, it can be stowed in front of the passenger seat. At this point we notice that at the base of the handbrake lever, on the front, we find a nut. By acting on it, with a 10 wrench, we can adjust the brake force, increasing it by turning the nut clockwise, or decreasing it by turning it counterclockwise. Once adjusted, the center console can be repositioned first, pressing lightly to engage it, and then the profile of the gearbox base.
