How to Replace the Door Handle on a Mercedes C-Class W203

To replace the door handle on a Mercedes C-Class, first detach a small section of the weatherstrip that isolates the cabin from the elements, located along the entire inner perimeter of the door. The area of interest will be at the height of the handle, which will hide a small hole containing the lock mounting pin. Now, loosen the pin inside the hole, being careful not to remove it completely. After a few turns, you can extract the lock from its housing. Once the lock is removed, only the handle will remain attached to the door. This will be secured with clips, and to remove it, simply pull it horizontally towards the lock housing. Once done, the handle should come off easily, and you can proceed to install a new one. Before proceeding, ensure that no broken parts of the old handle are left inside the door holes. To install the new one, insert the clips into the door holes and push horizontally towards the side opposite the lock, ensuring that the weatherstrips align perfectly with the base of the handle. Then, simply reinsert the lock into its housing and secure it by tightening the previously loosened pin.
