Where is the Cigarette Lighter Fuse Located in the Volkswagen Golf?

If the cigarette lighter in your Volkswagen Golf has suddenly stopped working, the first thing to do is check the status of the respective fuse, whose position is indicated in this video. As shown, the fuse is located in the box inside the cabin, behind the outer panel of the dashboard on the driver's side. It is labelled F42 and is the third from the penultimate row. If faulty, ensure you replace it with a spare of equivalent specifications and always work with the vehicle turned off to avoid damaging the socket.
