The Volkswagen Golf MK4 model has two fuse boxes inside. The fuse for the cigarette lighter socket is located inside the box located inside the passenger compartment behind the left panel of the dashboard.

The fuse in question is labeled F41 with 15 Amps. To replace the fuse, we remove the dashboard panel and extract the fuse using needle-nose pliers. The fuse box panel has a label with the amperage and name of each fuse, making it easy to replace them independently.
