Removing the Mirror on Mercedes C-Class

Model: Mercedes Classe C W205 - Years 2014-2021

First, remove the mirror glass by prying it off from behind with a plastic trim tool and disconnecting the wires. Now that you have done that, you can detach the cover by pulling it from the bottom, simply using your hands. Nothing could be easier! There are also wires to disconnect here, then you're done. For reassembly, proceed in reverse order. As you can see, these are very simple operations that do not necessarily require a shop intervention; if you can obtain the parts, you can perform this maintenance yourself, both for the glass and the cover.

How to Adjust the Handbrake on a BMW 1 Series?

To adjust the handbrake on a BMW 1 Series, use a tool to pry off the leather cover that wraps around the base of the handbrake lever. Once this cover is removed, you will be able to locate the spring that regulates the handbrake tension. At this point, adjust the nut located at the base of the spring: tightening the nut will make the handbrake firmer and reduce the lever's travel. Conversely, loosening the nut will decrease the handbrake's firmness and increase the lever's travel.
