How to Remove the Rear Bumper of a Mercedes A-Class

Learn how to remove the damaged rear bumper of your Mercedes A-Class. To do this, access the rear panel, remove the upholstery cap, and unscrew the screw that holds the light assembly from the inside. Remove all the plugs. Do the same for the other light assembly. Now access the lower compartment of the trunk. On the sides, there are two handles that you need to remove by unscrewing them from their housing; in the middle, there is another screw that you also need to remove. At this point, you can take out the support for the upper trunk area. On the bumper itself, from the inside, you will find two rubber plugs. Inside are the two screws holding the bumper. Now, go through the wheel well. There is a clip, and under the cover, there are more screws along the edge of the bumper that need to be removed. Under the bumper, you will find access to the two holding screws and other screws that need to be removed. Look carefully with a light, as they may be a bit hidden. Remove them all carefully. Once all are removed, you can take the bumper out of its housing by gently prying it off. At this point, disconnect the plugs for the rear sensors, and the rear bumper is removed.
