Instructions for Replacing the Third Brake Light

Model: Mercedes Classe C W203 - Years 2000-2007

Replacing the third brake light located at the center of the rear hood requires removing the inner trim: first, remove the various push clips and unscrew the mounting screws of the plastic trim around the lock. Once the trim is removed, you can access the mounting screws of the third brake light (star type) and pull it out from its housing by disconnecting the corresponding power connector. There are springs near the mounting screws that keep the third brake light in position without vibrating: insert the new one, tighten the screws, and connect the connector, checking its operation.
