Instructions for Removing the Car Radio

Model: Mercedes Sl R230 - Years 2001-2011

To remove the original car radio, you need to take off some elements of the center console and tunnel, starting with the clock located in the center of the dashboard; then, unscrew the two screws underneath that secure the air vents and pull them out by opening the plastic tabs at their base; next, move on to the tunnel elements by removing the shift knob, the trim at its base, disconnect the side panels of the tunnel, and unscrew the screws underneath to complete the removal of the console section housing the climate control buttons; at this point, you can take out the cup holder and unscrew the mounting screws of the car radio.
