Gear Oil Replacement and Full Maintenance

If you experience gear engagement issues in the automatic gearbox, you need to wash and replace the oil in the gearbox. Lift the vehicle on a ramp. Unscrew the oil plug located on the gearbox sump and let it drain into the appropriate container. Add the washing additive and use the appropriate equipment to perform a thorough complete wash, then let it drain. After washing, remove the oil sump where you may notice metallic residues on the magnets. Replace the sump with a new one that also contains the filter. Refill the gearbox with the correct amount of the specified oil. Check the engine oil level and take the vehicle for a road test to ensure the automatic gearbox issues have been resolved.
