Mercedes Classe M - Video tutorial
Model: Mercedes Classe M
W163
- Years 1997-2005 It can happen that you have engine oil leaks, this could be caused by a problem with the engine valve cover. There are screws that hold the cover attached to the cylinder head. They are usually 4 screws. The engine (and its cover) are subject to large variations in temperature, which lead to a deformation of the tappet cover that the too low number of screws cannot contain. The result of this design choice therefore involves a strong stress between the cover and the gasket, which over time causes the loss of seal and therefore the leakage of oil. A solution could be to tighten the screws until the pressure exerted by the gasket increases.

Frequently Asked QuestionsHow to reset the AdBlue warning light on the Peugeot ExpertAdblue is the additive that is used to reduce nitrogen oxide emissions in diesel engines. Passenger cars of the latest generation have an additional tank for this additive. The filler cap is located next to the diesel fuel filler cap and is usually blue. When the additive level falls below a preset value, the indication appears on the control panel display that it is necessary to top up the AdBlue otherwise, within a certain number of km it will no longer be possible to start the engine. Therefore, once the additive has been refilled, the indication on the instrument panel will disappear. by ScegliAuto More videos
