Mercedes Classe M - Video tutorial

Model: Mercedes Classe M W163 - Years 1997-2005
Part: Engine
Operation: MAF sensor disassembly instructions

If the engine exhibits loss of power and performance problems, it is very likely that the MAF sensor is malfunctioning: this sensor provides the engine management control unit with information relating to the amount of air sucked in by the engine according to which the control unit itself manages the fuel injection; it is clear that if this sensor provides incorrect information to the control unit, consequently there cannot be a smooth operation of the engine. The sensor is located immediately at the outlet of the engine air filter box and to be able to disassemble it, simply unhook the filter cover, disconnect the socket and remove the clamp that secures it to the intake duct.
