Mercedes Classe M - Video tutorial
Model: Mercedes Classe M
W163
- Years 1997-2005 Replacing the engine of your car is a fairly delicate operation, a job that is anything but simple. First of all, the old car head and the car battery must be removed without damaging them. The liquid from the cooling system and the connection pipe of the sleeve that connects the radiator to the thermostat must also be eliminated. If the collector of the car is welded, after having unscrewed the nuts or screws present, gently lever to try to detach it, without risking breaking or damaging it. Once this is done, you can remove the cylinder head cover. At this point we can safely remove the rocker arm shaft. The cylinder head must then be lifted and paid close attention to the gasket in case it needs to be replaced with a new one. Finally, reassemble the distributor and reconnect the exhaust pipe and the air filter. We just have to connect the fuel pipe to the carburetor and the acceleration controls to the starter and then start the engine.
