Car Engine Replacement

Model: Mercedes Classe M W163 - Years 1997-2005

Replacing the engine of your car is a delicate operation and not a simple task. First, remove the old cylinder head and the car battery without causing any damage. Next, drain the coolant and disconnect the hose that connects the radiator to the thermostat. If the car's manifold is welded, gently pry it off after unscrewing the nuts or bolts, being careful not to break or damage it. Once this is done, you can remove the cylinder head cover. At this point, you can safely take out the rocker shaft. Lift the cylinder head, paying close attention to the gasket in case it needs to be replaced with a new one. Finally, reattach the distributor and reconnect the exhaust pipe and air filter. All that’s left is to connect the fuel line to the carburettor and the throttle controls to the starter before starting the engine.
