How do you change the thermostat on a Mercedes A-Class? Let's see how to disassemble all the parts to reach the thermostat. Remove the engine soundproofing panel, unscrew the bolts of the manifold to access the part to be removed: take out the manifold from the engine compartment. Remove the hose, pull out the sealing cap from the housing, and extract the coolant thermostat. Insert the new part and close it with the hose cap. Tighten the fastening bolts securely. Reinstall the manifold and the various cover pieces in the engine compartment. Test the engine operation.
