How do you replace the thermostat of the Mercedes A-Class?

The thermostat installed on the Mercedes Class A can be replaced by opening the hood, so that it is possible to access the components located inside the engine compartment: on the right side of the latter it will be possible to locate the air filter box, which must be removed by loosening the fixing screws. Then all the screws fixing the intake manifold must also be loosened, to access its underlying area: the thermostat can now be disconnected and released from its fixing screws, replacing it with a new one and mounting all the parts just removed.
