How to Replace the Thermostat on a Mercedes A-Class

Let's look at replacing the coolant thermostat on a Mercedes A-Class. Raise the hood (where the engine is located); remove the engine soundproofing panel to access the thermostat. Unscrew the bolts of the thermostat housing and (use a socket wrench with the appropriate sockets) pull out the sealing cap from the housing and remove the coolant thermostat (remove the ventilation kit). Insert the new part and close it with the housing cap. Tighten the bolts securely, and you're done. Ensure that you have correctly inserted and mounted the valve in the appropriate housing.
