How do you replace the steering angle sensor of the Opel Meriva?

In order to replace the steering angle sensor of the Opel Meriva, you need to loosen the screws located at the back of the steering wheel, so that the airbag at its center can be removed. After removing the airbag, you can loosen the central nut that secures the steering wheel to the steering column, removing it completely. The underlying steering angle sensor can then be located and removed from its seat. You can now connect and insert the new sensor, verifying that everything works correctly again.
