How to Replace the Coolant Temperature Sensor in an Opel Meriva

Model: Vauxhall Meriva MK 2, Meriva B - Years 2010-2017

To replace the coolant temperature sensor in an Opel Meriva, turn off the engine and allow the coolant to cool completely. Locate the sensor, which is generally screwed into the cylinder head or near the thermostat, connected to an electrical connector. Disconnect the connector carefully, paying attention to the clips. Place a container under the sensor to catch any coolant spills. Unscrew the sensor with an appropriate spanner and remove it. Screw in the new sensor, reconnect the electrical connector, and replace any covers. Check the coolant level and top up if necessary. Start the engine and verify that the temperature is read correctly without leaks.
