Replacement of front brake pads for Mini Cooper

Model: Mini Mini R56, R57, R55 - Years 2007-2014
Part: Brake pads

Today's step-by-step instructions will allow us to disassemble and replace the front brake pads of the Mini Cooper. First, we lift the car and start by removing the front wheel; then we unscrew the fastening screws of the front brake caliper, removing it from the disc, pressing on the caliper piston to retract it. At this point, we remove and replace the brake pads with new ones, inserting them in the correct direction; we clean the caliper from any remaining dirt, attach it to the disc and tighten the two fastening screws correctly!

How to Remove the Door Panel on a Mini

Perform the disassembly of the door panel (front right) on a Mini: disconnect the battery terminals located in the engine bay (if you need to disconnect terminals). Use a lever to remove the plastics in the area of the upper door opening lever and the screws present in the handle (if any). Remove the trim near the window, unscrew the remaining screws on the door panel and detach the securing clips. Finally, pull the panel away with your hands and detach it from the door (disconnect the power wiring and the opening cable).
