Need to replace the number plate bulbs on a Mini? Here’s how to replace the damaged bulb: open the boot lid, and using a screwdriver, remove the clear plastic cover located on the rear hatch above the car's number plate. Once the clear plastic cover is removed, gently pull out the bulb with your fingers.

Fit the new bulb (same size and voltage) into the holder, then reattach the light unit to the metal of the hatch. Finally, test the correct operation of the previously fitted bulb.
