Let's see how to replace the window motor of a Mini Cooper R56/R57. If we have come to the conclusion that the problem is actually the motor unit, it is quite easy to replace it: this operation must be done with the window glass completely lowered; first we need to remove the inner door panel, and then we can access the window regulator, which is held by four screws, then we need to remove the electrical connection and finally remove the motor from its housing, rotating it inside.

At the time of purchase, make sure it has five pins. For the installation, proceed in the opposite direction.

Insert the male part into its housing, rotating it slightly to fit it properly, screw in the four screws and connect the electrical connectors. All that remains is to put the door panel back in place.
