Replacement of Engine Spark Plugs

Model: Mini Mini R53, R52, R50 - Years 2001-2007

Disconnect the coil leads; the first spark plug is located at the bottom of the well. Pull upwards on the connection boot. To avoid confusion, only disconnect the first spark plug. Using the appropriate spark plug socket, which has a rubber gripping device, gently insert it onto the spark plug head and unscrew it. Be careful not to drop any foreign objects into the well. Replace the spark plug with one of the same model, carefully inserting it into the well, again using the appropriate socket and gently turning it to ensure it screws in correctly. If you encounter resistance, remove it and try again. Spark plugs should be tightened with a torque wrench; if you do not have one, tighten without overdoing it. Repeat the same procedure for the other spark plugs.
