Replace the Steering Angle Sensor on a Volkswagen Golf 5

Model: Volkswagen Golf MK 5, Golf 5, Golf V - Years 2003-2008

When the steering angle sensor malfunction warning light comes on, it may be necessary to replace it as follows: first, remove the steering wheel and the lower steering column cover by unscrewing the three fixing screws. The steering sensor is located just below the steering column. To detach it, use a small screwdriver and insert it into the hole at the front, pushing it all the way in until you unlock the clip at the bottom. Next, pull down the rear part of the board containing the sensor and detach it from the steering column. At this point, take the new board and reposition it, then reverse the process to reassemble the various components.
