How to Remove the External Rear-View Mirror of a Mini Cooper

Before you can start, exit the cabin of your Mini Cooper and head towards the external rear-view mirror. Begin by folding the mirror completely inwards. Next, unscrew and remove the Allen screws that secure the mirror to the door. This will free the external rear-view mirror. At this point, extract the base of the mirror from its housing and disconnect the electrical connector. Once you have completed this last step, the removal will be finished.
