How do I replace the Mini Cooper remote control battery?

Model: Mini Mini R55, R57, R56 - Years 2007-2014
Part: Key

In order to replace the battery of the Mini Cooper remote control, you need to pry the rear part of the remote control, so that you can remove the plastic cover with the brand logo. Once this cover has been removed, the circular plastic cover below can be removed, giving access to the battery. The latter can now be removed from its housing, so that it can be replaced with a new spare part. After installing the new battery, the rear plastic protection must therefore be covered with the circular cover.
