Let's see in this short and simple guide the steps on how to disassemble and replace the Mini Cooper gear knob. First we get on board the car and start pulling our gear knob upwards, in order to detach it and remove it from the gear lever; now let's go remove, if necessary, also the gear gaiter. At this point let's install the boot and then the new gear knob, inserting it perfectly and in the right direction; let's fix it perfectly on the gear lever, trying not to create any kind of play between the lever and the knob!

First, remove the wheel where the replacement will occur, then lift the vehicle. This will provide easy access to the clips and bolts securing the wing from the inside.
