Discover the main steps to remove and replace the gear knob and gaiter on the Mini Cooper. First, get inside the vehicle and begin detaching and removing the gear gaiter; to do this, loosen the clip located between the gaiter and the knob using a flat screwdriver or pliers, as shown in the video. At this point, separate the gaiter from the knob, replacing the latter; install your new knob onto the gear lever, placing a clip between it and the gaiter to secure everything on the gear lever!
