Replacing the Battery in a Mini

Model: Mini Mini F56, F57, F54, F55 - Years 2014-2023

Follow these steps to change the battery in your Mini. Open the front bonnet, remove the seal under the windscreen on the driver's side, unscrew the screws securing the plastic covers above the battery and take them off, remove the side panel of the battery by unscrewing the screws that hold it in place, disconnect the terminals starting with the negative one, unscrew the bracket at the base and remove the breather hose. Now you can take out the old battery using its handles, making space between the cables. Clean the compartment and insert the new battery, refit the breather and secure the bracket. Continue reassembling by reversing the previous steps.
