Using a lever or rotary selector (depending on the trim), you can select: "2H" 2WD rear-wheel drive, ideal for tarmacked roads with reduced consumption and smooth driving; "4H" permanent 4WD, providing traction on all four wheels with a viscous coupling (torque distribution 33:67 front/rear), suitable for wet asphalt and gravel without risking differential strain; "4HLc" 4WD with central locking, locking the central differential (50:50 distribution) for difficult terrains like mud, snow, and sand at moderate speeds; "4LLc" low-range 4WD + central locking with electromechanical reduction (torque multiplied) + central differential lock for extreme situations like steep slopes, rocks, and deep fords.
