The battery is located under the tank, but instead of disassembling the same, remove the side fairing which is less complicated. Once done, locate the starter contactor which has two wires, one marked with the B going to the battery and one with the M, which indicates the starter motor. Connect your starter with the positive pole a to connector B and the negative pole to the drain, to close the circuit. Turn on the ignition and then the engine. Unplug everything and put the fairing back on. To preserve the battery, disconnect the battery by pulling out the connector. This will ensure that, even during the winter break, the battery will not run out.

In order to replace the air filter of the KTM 1290 Super Adventure, you need to completely remove the storage compartment box located between the handlebars and the fuel tank. Once this compartment box has been removed, you can loosen the screws underneath and proceed to remove the cover of the air filter box. The air filter can now be extracted from its housing and replaced with a new one; the new filter can now be secured by reinserting the cover of the box and the storage compartment box, ensuring that everything is functioning properly.
