The key/remote of the Nissan Ariya is identical to those of most cars on the road; it functions to lock and unlock the central locking, manages only the rear hatch, and so on. When it does not respond to commands, it is undoubtedly time to replace the battery, model CR2032, the most commonly used. You can avoid going to a garage; this task can be done yourself. As explained in the video, extract the emergency key and, using a small flathead screwdriver, pry at the joint of the two halves of the plastic shell to open it and access the battery that needs to be replaced.
