How to Activate the Intelligent Cruise Functions of the Nissan Qashqai E-Power

On the Nissan Qashqai e-Power, the intelligent cruise control (ProPILOT Assist) is managed at two levels. While driving, use the controls on the steering wheel: press the ProPILOT button to activate the system (standby), accelerate to the desired speed (minimum 18.6 mph, or lower if there is a car in front), and press SET- to memorise it. The distance from the preceding vehicle is adjusted with the dedicated switch (Far, Medium, Close).

To pause, press CANCEL or tap the brake; to resume, press RES+. Holding the ProPILOT button for more than 1.5 seconds switches to fixed speed cruise. In the dashboard menu, you can activate the "smart" functions: go to Settings/Driving Assistance/Intelligent Cruise.

Here you will find three options. The Cruise Navi Link uses data from the navigator to automatically slow down before bends, roundabouts, and motorway exits.

The Speed Limit Link synchronises the cruise with road signs: the car suggests or adjusts the speed to the new limit, with the option to set an offset (e.g., +2.5 mph). The Right Overtaking Prevention prevents the car from accidentally overtaking on the wrong side, slowing down to match the vehicle in the faster lane.

The functions can be activated individually (ON/OFF).
