As we can see in this video, replacing the handbrake button on an Opel Crossland-X is not difficult. First, we remove the button and then the handle cover: both are pressure-fit. Attached to the cover is also the cable, which is operated by the button.

We remove the cover by sliding it off the cable. The YouTuber wanted to adapt the button from another Opel, which they may have had available, but based on the comments in the video, we advise against doing so and recommend purchasing the correct button directly, which can be found for example on Amazon with the code B08KGWYT98 for a price of 14.00 euros, with free delivery.

For the rest, simply reinsert the cable into the base and connect it to the button to restore its functionality.
