How to replace the internal fan of the Opel Zafira B

Let's see how to replace the fan on an Opel Zafira B: first of all, disconnect the battery and wait fifteen minutes before working near the driver's compartment, to allow the airbag to deactivate; empty the glove compartment and release the compartment door: there are 2/3 screws on the top inside the drawer and another pair on the bottom. They must be removed. Then remove the compartment from the pins to release it, lowering it slightly. Now we see the air conditioning unit box, and inside it the squirrel cage fan. Disconnect the electrical connector; the motor is held by 3 screws, unscrew them and gently pull out the motor. The new one can be found on Amazon with the code B0FD21R31Z at a price of 152.34 with free delivery. But used ones can be found online for less than half the price. When installing the new motor, apply some silicone lubricant on the plastic guides to avoid annoying squeaks in the future. Insert the impeller, mount the motor, reconnect the connector, and reassemble the glove compartment. You can reconnect the battery, the job is done.
