Let's see how to replace the rear shock absorbers on an Opel/Vauxhall Combo. First, engage the handbrake, block the front wheels with chocks, loosen the nuts of the rear wheels, then lift the rear end and place axle stands under the solid points of the chassis. Remove the rear wheels. Position a second jack under the rear axle and raise it until it slightly supports the weight. This is just to relieve the tension on the suspension. Observe the orientation of the shock absorber to reinstall the new one in the same position. First, loosen the upper bolt, then the lower one, and finally completely remove the upper bolt, extracting the shock absorber. Refit the new shock absorber, which you may have found on motointegrator.it, brand SACHS with code 505859 at a price of £29.28 each + £9.95 for shipping. Position it respecting the correct orientation, hand-tighten the bolt, first the upper and then the lower, and then tighten them, but not yet to the final torque. Remove the support jack from the axle, reassemble the wheel, and then lower the vehicle. Tighten the wheel nuts to the torque specified by the manufacturer, and do the same with the shock absorbers.
