How to Change the Rear Bulbs on the Opel Astra K

On the Opel Astra K, the replacement of the rear bulbs is done from the boot, accessing behind the light unit. Open the tailgate and work on the inner side trim, right where the light cluster is located. Here, locate the access flap and remove it to expose the back of the light. Once access is open, reach the light fitting from inside and unscrew it; at this point, gently pull the light outwards without jerking until it is free from the bodywork. With the light in hand, the video clearly shows the bulb holder: detach and rotate/remove it from the back of the light, making the bulbs accessible. Remove the bulbs to be replaced and fit the new replacements, then reinsert the bulb holder into its place and close it. Once the electrical part is done, reposition the light correctly against the bodywork and screw it back in from the inside, finally closing the access flap in the boot.
