The issue with this Opel Corsa D was that turning the selector did not change the airflow. Contrary to what often happens, the problem was not the broken white plastic gears behind the control panel, but a stuck cable.

The solution involved removing the control panel, checking that the white gears were not broken, and ensuring the cable was properly attached. In the video case, the cable was slightly bent at one end. This cable is located on the passenger side, in the footwell, and runs up towards the dashboard.

Follow it to the opposite end, where it connects to a plastic dial that physically controls the ventilation flaps. Disconnect the cable from the sector, ensuring it moves freely by hand; if it’s stiff, apply a lubricant like Teflon spray.

Also, check that the cable runs freely within its sheath; if it’s stuck, lubricate it or replace it. Reconnect the cable to the sector and secure it with the locking clip. Rotate the control knob inside the car and check the movement of the flaps.

On a Seat Ibiza, the boot lid may become stuck, for example, due to a fault with the control button or the lock actuator. In these cases, you can perform an emergency opening by following the simple procedure shown in this tutorial. First, open the rear doors, then lower the backrest by operating the release lever. Next, go to the boot, unclip the cover panel of the boot lid, and open it by operating the actuator with a screwdriver or a similar tool.
