How to Remove the Rear Door Panel on Opel Zafira

Removing the rear door panel on an Opel Zafira is a bit tricky due to the presence of many hidden screws that need to be unscrewed. The first screw is located inside the armrest handle and is hidden by a small plastic cap that must be removed with a small flathead screwdriver. The second screw will be hidden under the electric window switch located above the armrest; if this is not present, there will be a cap that can be removed using a screwdriver. Another screw will be hidden under the cap for the small speaker located on the opening handle, which can also be removed with a screwdriver. After removing these three screws, there will be four more easily visible screws; one will be located inside the opening handle while the other three will be easily visible at the bottom of the panel. If the car is equipped with a manual window crank, it will be necessary to remove this; to do so, simply remove the metal clip located between the crank and the panel by prying between the two surfaces and extracting the clip with a hook. At this point, there will be two more screws hidden behind the armrest handle where the first screw was previously removed, so simply detach the handle to unscrew them. Once the last two screws are removed, the panel will only be held to the door by plastic clips around its perimeter, which will be clipped in and can be released by prying at the junction line between the panel and the metal. After releasing all the clips, simply lift the panel upwards to detach it from the window guide. Finally, there will only be the cable connected to the opening handle, which can be released via a plastic tab, and any power connectors that, if present, must be disconnected.
