How to Change the Gear Knob on an Opel Corsa

Is the gear knob worn and in need of replacement? Here’s how to remove the damaged knob from the gear lever. Enter the vehicle, grasp the knob and rotate it to the left until it comes off the gear lever (the knob has a thread). Use a plastic lever to detach the leather gaiter frame from the fixing plastic (if it needs replacing). Take the new knob and slide it onto the lever in the centre console until it is fully tightened on the thread. Test the movement of the lever in the centre console to ensure the knob is correctly fitted. Fit a knob of the same type.
