Is the gear knob worn and in need of replacement? Here’s how to remove the damaged knob from the gear lever. Enter the vehicle, grasp the knob and rotate it to the left until it comes off the gear lever (the knob has a thread).

Use a plastic lever to detach the leather gaiter frame from the fixing plastic (if it needs replacing). Take the new knob and slide it onto the lever in the centre console until it is fully tightened on the thread.

Test the movement of the lever in the centre console to ensure the knob is correctly fitted. Fit a knob of the same type.

As the video clearly shows, disabling or activating the traction control (TRC or ESP) on the Toyota Yaris is very simple. By default, the traction system activates every time the vehicle is started. To disable it, simply press the button depicting a skidding car located in the centre of the vehicle where the controls are, such as the hazard lights and the radio, but near the handbrake.
