To replace the timing belt on your Opel Corsa, you need to open the bonnet and remove the front wheel on the driver's side. In the video, the vehicle is lifted on a ramp, but you can lift it just enough to work underneath. Now remove the splash guard from the wheel arch and pull the tensioner pulley that holds the belt tight with a 15mm spanner; at this point, you can remove the belt. Naturally, since you are doing this operation, it is advisable to check the condition of the tensioner pulley and the idler pulley, as if they need replacing, this is the right time to do it. Now install the new belt, which costs around £12 on major e-commerce platforms. Follow the video to ensure it follows the correct path, and make sure it is well tensioned using the tensioner pulley. Now you can reattach the splash guard, and take the opportunity to clean the brake disc with a suitable cleaner. Refit the wheel. The job is done.
